New local corporate gift business wins Chairman's Choice at WASABE Awards
Bev Barnfather at the 2011 WSABE Awards
WESTERN SYDNEY AWARDS FOR BUSINESS EXCELLENCE, WATERVIEW FUNCTION CENTER BICENTENNIAL PARK OCTOBER 13TH 2011:
It was excitement and tears all at once for local businesswoman, Bev Barnfather, when she was awarded the Chairman’s Choice Award at the 2011 WSABE Awards on Wednesday 13th October at a gala event at Waterview Function Centre.
Paul Dillon, Chairman of the Awards stated that it was Bev’s unique approach, her amazing business model, her persistence to overcome personal challenges and her vision to create a Foundation from the profits of the business to provide specialized beds for palliative care patients in honour of her late husband and mentor, George Barnfather, that made her such a worthy recipient of the prestigious award.
By utilizing OUTRAGEOUSLY good service coupled with an eye for unique corporate gifts with WOW factor, Ladybird Gifts’ winning formula has focussed their business on providing companies with unique gifts that create memorable “touch points” enabling them to develop strong and positive relationships with their staff and clients, be remembered and appreciated.
After many years of receiving "interesting" corporate gifts that were so obviously purchased in bulk and showed little or no regard for individual tastes or circumstances, Bev realised that there was a gap in the marketplace to source and supply individual corporate gifts that enabled companies to "stand out from the crowd" and demonstrate that they actually cared about their customers. Armed with this belief, Ladybird Gifts opened their doors in 2009 with a huge dose of passion and a drive to succeed.
New to the world of the “solo entrepreneur” Bev says her win was a wonderful endorsement of the
efforts of the past two years. “Since George died, says Bev I have had to learn a great deal about business and life on my own. This win really means so much to me.”
Bev has big plans for her business in the next twelve months. Being able to identify a niche and develop it in the marketplace has meant that Bev is able to enjoy a unique position ensuring her a successful year ahead.
For now though she is going to take a moment to savour the fat that Ladybird Gifts is a winning business, open a bottle of champagne and enjoy a well-earned celebration drink with her family and friends.
